Resuque (“Resuque,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools to build, tailor, and export resumes. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our marketing site (resuque.com) and the Resuque application (app.resuque.com).
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Resuque, we may collect:
- Account information — such as your name, email address, and authentication details when you create an account.
- Resume and application content — text you upload, paste, or generate, including work history, skills, job descriptions, cover letters, and related materials.
- Usage and device data — such as pages viewed, features used, browser type, IP address, and similar technical logs used to operate and improve the service.
- Communications — messages you send to support or feedback channels.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to paid features, payment details are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Resuque's resume and job-matching features.
- Generate scores, suggestions, and tailored content based on your inputs.
- Authenticate you and secure your account.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the service.
- Analyze usage to fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
AI processing
Resuque uses automated systems, including third-party AI providers, to analyze resumes and job descriptions and to suggest edits. Your content may be transmitted to those providers solely to deliver the features you request. We do not sell your resume content to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers — such as hosting, analytics, email, payment, and AI vendors that help us operate Resuque under contractual obligations to protect your data.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to respond to lawful requests from authorities.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.
We do not sell personal information as defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. You may delete resumes and your account from the app; some logs may persist for a limited period for security and backup purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
